Hudson River artist Thomas Cole could find inspiration without even leaving his home! Here, seen from the porch of his house, Cedar Grove, is an iconic Catskills silhouette featuring Indian Head, Kaaterskill High Peak, and Round Top. A few years ago the Catskill town authorities were wise enough to move the electric wires in this area underground so they no longer spoil the view. It's rare to get a day when the light and sky offer potential for a worthwhile picture, but this day I was fortunate.
