Not all small businesses will survive the 2020 pandemic. Barber shops such as this one in the Main Street of Catskill had to close for several weeks, and that's when I took this picture. I hope that a long-established, friendly business like this survives.

Thank you, Skip, I consider it an important part of my photography to preserve places like this. Visual memory is important. Recently I was asked to photograph a historic site that took me way to the northern part of the next county up and practically into the one above that--strange to be looking at the Catskills in the distance and realize you're looking south, not north!--but it was worth it, especially as the place is for sale and one never knows what new owners might do.
