Artist's Description
Christmans Windham House is a historic inn near both Windham Village and Windham Ski Resort in the Great Northern Catskills of New York. It started life in 1805 as a drovers' inn on the historic Catskill Turnpike. Around 1952 the Christmans bought the inn and over the years it has undergone adaptations to suit changing tastes in leisure activities. In addition to its restaurant and lodging it also boasts a popular golf course. I made this image on July 4 during the annual Windham Artfest, which was held that year on the grounds of the inn.
