A great deal of controversy swirled around the decision to charge tolls on the Sakonnet Bridge, which connects Aquidneck Island with the East Bay area of Rhode Island, and through a determined grassroots effort the tolls were abolished. I made this image of the bridge with the tugboats the day after the Sakonnet Bridge once again became free at last.
