Artist's Description
The Royal Mills is the site of a historic textile mill on the banks of the Pawtuxet River in Warwick, Rhode Island. While textile manufacturing here goes back to 1809. the present structure dates from 1921. When the textile industry suffered, the site was virtually abandoned until it was taken over in 2004 and converted to an apartment rental complex. In that same year Royal Mills was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
