The International Tennis Hall of Fame, on Newport's fashionable Bellevue Avenue, was established in 1954 and houses a tennis museum that contains a wealth of historical artifacts as well as video and audio recordings, all highlighting the history of tennis from the origins of the sport up to the present time. It also hosts a tournament that takes place directly after Wimbledon. Inductees to the Hall of Fame include the great names of tennis -- Bjorn Borg, Chris Evers, Jimmy Connors, and Billie Jean King, to name just a very few.
