Artist's Description

This is one of the last two toll plazas for the bridges over the Hudson River to have escaped demolition thus far. Soon it, too, will fall victim to the process of converting all the toll plazas to electronic only. The present (and last) toll plaza was built in the late 1960s. The bridge carries traffic on Route 23 between Catskill and Hudson.
