Beautiful Essex County, on the northern Massachusetts shore, is named for its counterpart on the east coast of England, which it resembles with its rivers and tidal marshes.
The historic Mabel Burnham House is located along Route 133. I believe some of the marsh land to the left of the house belongs to the Greenbelt – Essex County’s Land Trust, a non-profit land conservation organization that has erected a platform for an osprey nest and a webcam for the nest.
