Description
Motif #1 is so-called because it has been called the most often-painted building in America. This red fishing shack stands on a wharf at Bearskin Neck in Rockport, Massachusetts, a picturesque and walkable town on Cape Ann. I made several photographs of it over a long weekend in spring. Here I've highlighted it by converting the rest of the image to monochrome but leaving the shack red.

I like the color & mono treatment. Perfect for The Rockport Motif.

Betsy, an embarrassed and belated but no less grateful reply -- thank you so much!
