Description
The rising sun illuminates North Conway Railroad Station on an autumn morning with the White Mountains of New Hampshire behind. Built in 1874, the station served North Conway as a regular passenger station until 1961, when the last passenger train departed for Boston. It was purchased, renovated, and reopened by Conway Scenic Railroad in 1974. During the high seasons passengers can board trains here for excursions to Crawford Notch through some of the most dramatic scenery in New England. Train also leave on weekends for the villages of Conway and Bartlett.
