Artist's Description

I love rocks, especially huge conglomerates like this, and this is my favorite rock in the world. When I told a geologist friend in NY about this puddingstone rock, he said, "That's a sign of mountain-making." Mountain-making on the Rhode Island coast? Well, I looked it up in my Rhode Island geology books, and he was absolutely right! This is the sunrise bathing it in this orange glow.
