Description
New Hampshire may have only 18 miles of seacoast, but it boasts an incredible variety of natural beauty, including white sand beaches, rocky coves (with or without harbors for lobster boats), and even the hustle-bustle of Portsmouth with its three bridges that cross the Piscataqua River to Maine.
I had stopped at this rocky cove with fellow photographer Jeff Sinon (without whom I would never have known about the place) somewhat before sunset. Just as we were getting back into the car, the setting sun hit this large rock and gave it that beautiful golden glow. Out came the gear once again and I made this image. I like the way the golden rock both contrasts with its surroundings and, at the same time, fits in with them as part of the natural beauty to be seen along this section of coast in New Hampshire.
