Description
This picture shows the grounds of Washington's Headquarters in Newburgh, New York, looking across the Hudson River to the Beacon Hills. On the right of the pictures stands the Tower of Victory. Hasbrouck House, also on this site, is where George Washington lived and worked to direct the closing months of the Revolutionary War. The Tower of Victory was commissioned by Robert Todd Lincoln, son of Abraham Lincoln, as a monument to the peace that followed the end of the American Revolution. Today the Tower is threatened as 125 years and the weather have not been kind to it. The Palisades Park Conservancy, which administers the Tower, needs to raise $1.5 million to preserve the Tower. I will donate 10% of the profit from each sale of this picture to the PPC to help ensure that the Tower stands proud for another 125 years. Please consider buying this picture; you'll be honoring a monument to American freedom and contributing toward its survival.
