Description
The SSV Oliver Hazard Perry, named for the great naval commander who was a Rhode Island native, is a purpose-built ship used for training and education. Built in the shipyards in Newport Harbor, it now calls Fort Adams, Newport, its home port. Here the Pell Bridge and Rose Island Lighthouse are visible in the background.
